The Church that Glorifies God and Edifies Man
Our Vision

And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

We are charged with the changing of this community by example of our living and our love for the Lord Jesus Christ.

We are charged to build a legacy of ministry and a house dedicated to our God without financial stress or strain to its members.

 " PURPOSE "

Why Do You Do What You Do?"

What is our "PURPOSE!"

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."   Romans 12:1-2

Wednesday Bible Study Focus

"Christian Doctrine"

Doctrine is teaching.  Christian Doctrine is teaching about Christ.  Christian Doctrine should always be supported by the Word of God.

Five basic points one should know when it comes to Christian Doctrine.

1.  The Trinity
God is One in Three

2.  The Person of Christ
  The Son of God

3.  The Second Coming
Christ coming back to judge and to rule

4. Salvation
 We must be SAVED - a key component in our Christian Faith.

5.  Scripture
 Inerrant and sufficient.

We should always allow the Word of God to guide us.  We should read the Word both in content and context.
"Why Am I Baptist?"

What do the "Baptist" believe?

As a "Baptist" you should be able to defend your faith.

B - BIBLE - The Bible is the authority in all matters of belief and practice because the Bible is inspired by God and bears the absolute authority of God Himself.
               2Timothy 3:15-17;
           1 Thessalonians 2:13

A- AUTONOMY - The local church is an independent body accountable to the Head of the Church - Jesus Christ.
               Colossians 1:18

P- PRIEST - Every believer today is a priest of God and may enter into His presence in prayer directly through Jesus Christ, our Great High Priest.  Because of Jesus Christ, no mediator is needed between God and His people.
                    1 Peter 2:5,9

T- TWO ORDINANCES - The local church practices two ordinances:
BAPTISM - Immersion in water and HOLY COMMUNION - Commemorating the death of Jesus Christ for our sins.
             Matthew 28:19-20;
          I Corinthians 11:23-32

- INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY - Everyone has the responsibility to know the Word of God and are held accountable to God for him/herself.

S- SEPARATION - "... Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,"
Three areas we as Christians are to separate ourselves from the world are:
                1.  Ethical
                2.  Ecclesiastical
                3.  Political
For a better understanding of these areas read Romans 12:1-2; Galatians 2:20; 2 Corinthians 6:14-17; and Romans 16:17.

T - Two Offices in the Church
      Pastor and Deacon

What do you expect from a Pastor?  The Pastor is a servant.  The Pastor answers to the Lord.  Pastors come from a priestly line rather than the "kingly" line.
Read Philippians 1:1; 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Acts 20:17; Acts 20:28;
1 Timothy 2:7 and Rev. 1:20.

The Pastor/Overseer has charge over the flock.  A Bishop is simply a Pastor.Jeremiah 3:15 says, "And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding."

Deacons - Read  I Timothy 3:8:13
The qualifications are clearly stated.

Deacons are chosen after having been examined by the Pastor (The Spiritual Leader of the flock.)
